The Health Care Association of New Jersey (HCANJ) has awarded Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel resident Evelyn Carson with their Resident Better Life Award. This award recognizes a resident in a senior living community who has made outstanding contributions to enhance the lives of fellow residents.
Ms. Carson is an extremely worthy recipient of this award—she serves as a Resident Ambassador, and as the president of the Resident Council at Arbor Terrace. She leads meetings, motivates residents to participate in community events and activities, and serves as a sounding board for residents to share their concerns. 
Ms. Carson goes above and beyond in her duties out of love and compassion for her fellow residents. She personally visits residents in their apartments, shares meals with them, and even speaks with new prospects to the community to answer their questions. It is her goal for all residents to feel welcomed and valued.
She works with such care and love when interacting with fellow residents. Every week, Ms. Carson leads a community prayer group, as well as inspirational storytelling sessions. She also sings hymns with our residents in memory care.
