At its core, SingFit is an evidence-based music therapy program that uses familiar, memory-evoking songs to stimulate brain activity and encourage participation. Through guided sessions, residents engage in call-and-response singing, rhythmic movement, and light exercise, all while enjoying music from their past.
As FOX 5 Atlanta captured during their visit, residents at The Solana sang along to classics like “Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay,” tapping their feet, shaking instruments, and smiling as familiar lyrics and melodies sparked connection and recognition.
